Colle della Rossa, 3195m. This col is an important crossing point between the Vittorio Sella hut's area and Vermiana. The path is effortless and it reaches a remarkable altitude, at the Punta Rossa'foot, a mountain characterized by a severe aspect. All along the walk, you can admire herds of steinbocks and high-mountain pioneer flora specimens. |

Behind the hut, along the clear path of the Aosta Valley's Alta Via n° 2. After the first short and slightly sharp part, you reach the wide elevated plains dominated by the Costa di Lauson. The path continues close to a river reaching a fork. Turn on the right towards a sharp canal leading to the plateau before the final ascent; from here, to the indented ridge of the col.
